What Is Abortion Pill Reversal?
Some women rush into a decision to end their pregnancy before thinking it through. If you’ve started the abortion pill method and only taken the first drug, mifepristone, there is a chance you can continue your pregnancy, but you must act quickly.
The abortion pill method uses two drugs to end a pregnancy. Mifepristone, the first drug, blocks the hormone progesterone from reaching the pregnancy. Without progesterone, the pregnancy cannot develop.
Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) floods the body with progesterone to attempt to reverse the effects of mifepristone. The success rate is anywhere from 64% to 68%, and you have the best chance of continuing your pregnancy if you start the reversal process within 24 hours of taking the drug.
